Death Law - Wrongful Death

Death Law - Wrongful Death

Wrongful death is an allegation or claim that alleges that the decedent (dead person) was killed as a result of negligence or other liability on the part of the defendant (the person claimed to be at fault.)

The surviving dependents or beneficiaries are entitled to monetary damages as a result of the defendant's conduct.

Each individual state has "wrongful death statutes" and some form of wrongful death claim action exists in all states.
